A Female Patient Died At Medicaid Facilitry of the Firelands by LR

On Monday, August 28th, a female patient detoxing from alcohol died while taking a nap. Matthew Boyle, LR CEO, was in Ohio that week. We left the Medicaid Facilitry of Cleveland by LR as soon as he heard about the death and headed to the Willard facility. The patient was pronounced dead at the hospital. The patient hadn’t been prescribed any medication for withdrawal. The patient scored no higher than ten on her CIWA. The CIWA-AR allows physicians to measure the severity of patients’ alcohol withdrawal syndrome, and thus prevent further health complications and treat the withdrawal syndrome accordingly.

Landmark has ruled this death as a neurological seizure. It appears the death is still being investigated. The police report of the incident hasn’t been posted online yet. I know that some investigations take time to be conducted. I wonder if the coroner awaits the surveillance tapes before completing the investigation.

Matty is back in Willard today. I was told he is addressing the city council tonight. I hope that they ask him about the death and the ongoing investigation.

  1. How exactly are you investigating it/can you investigate it if you can’t investigate it in any official capacity and have zero access to any kind of data? Following along with your info drops diligently. I’m just not sure an SEO guy acting from the outside can provide “answers to the family” regarding a rehab death. Doesn’t really make sense to me but I’m happy to trust the process if you explain.

    1. While I have been working in SEO since 2006, I have been a consumer advocate since 2013. That was when I covered, exposed and put Acteva out of business. I have investigated and remove countless lead generation Google Business Profiles and got them covered by news organizations. Apparently you are unfamiliar with FOIA, Freedom of Information Act. I can request records and documents. I can also get other reporters to look into the death and have them ask questions. I have my ways at getting information and getting stories covered. Let’s focus on the fact that a woman died while at Landmark. She was detoxing from alcohol at the time of her death. Who am I and my skills have nothing to do with the fact that a woman is dead. Where is your outrage over this? Have you no shame?

  2. Every one of your posts drips in schadenfreude. Leave investigations and family outreach to the authorities. Take the superhero mask and cape off and move on with your life.

    1. How many times do I have to spell it out, I am a consumer advocate. I am sorry if this website and my project are hurting your feelings. You can not going to persuade me to stop. People’s lives are at stake. Are you aware that mother of the woman that died at Willard on August 28th is seeing your comments? Do you think she wants to see how you are acting?

    1. All comments automatically go into pending review. This is a standard WordPress feature. I am sorry that you don’t know blog websites work. I know you saw this as your gotcha moment, but it didn’t work. I only deleted four comments because they were posted by people trying to be trolls. I love how you won’t use your name or your email address and accuse me of hiding behind a mask. I have had a lot better trolls in my life and you don’t even crack the top 100K.

    1. Hard to say, since they refuse to use their real name and share their email address. It could be a Graceland Recovery Fanboy. They went out the It’s Time for Ethics in Recovery Facebook page after the group starting focusing on and exposing Landmark Recovery in July. Shorty after, I received two troll emails shortly after Patrick Ridge posted to his followers to attack that page.

  3. It’s funny that Matt is even keeping up with this page. It’s giving very much guilty vibes. Putting his 2 cents in is even more funnier because he don’t even have the ability to control himself when he sees negativity he’s created. He has no business owning a business involving other lives. He has completely trashed his name & his company. I hate that he is even fighting back & trying to keep facilities open & open more. I know he won’t be successful. I worked for him for many years long enough to know he literally has no clue what he’s doing

  4. I believe the admin this time! whoever is mad about this coverage is either involved negatively or unintelligent regarding gathering data. hey admin, thanks for covering. I just walked outta there today and am glad I did now!

  5. Hey I feel for the family the cheif of Willard police department will not do a investigation on a overdose they way this police does it is sweepthings under the rug I had a brother that got shot up with drugs from his girlfriend and the cops were called to be aware of his girlfriend have the drugs on her and to pull the vehicle over Plymouth police department failed to do there job they should have radio to Willard police but didn’t because they knew they were going to the motel in Willard but no I got woke up your bother is dead huron county is horrible about doing there jobs to serve and protect but long story short Willard police department is as bad as all the rest they only allow there department to do so little because they have to many other case’s to deal with Sparta police does a better job on TV “inthe heat of the night” lol hopefully you get justice

    1. This family is going to get justice. Countless families and people who were victimized by LR will get justice. It’s not a question of if, but when.

  6. I have been in recovery 19 years I have worked with homeless veterans incarcerated and previous incarcerated people suffering from addiction. Happy hand working for Praxis by the landmark Recovery and you put Ohio because my brother was a patient and complained about the lackluster programming and operations.

I was hired in May 2023 at the time there were male and female patients in treatment. Correction, they were in MISTREATMENT!

PRAXIS is“is code for: “We endeavor to bill MEDICAID for as much as we can for your loved one”

they had three executive directors while I was there a week short of 90 days. The hire people with degrees with a career history of places like Amazon Macy’s. And other retail box stores. Logistics is not addiction medicine. they do not require their ED to have a modicum of state certification in mental health or SUD. I took time to write a PowerPoint presentation to help mitigate the unsustainable behaviors I witnessed. They actually took a couple of my suggestions and used them. That could partially be why it took until winter for someone to die in their bed. It takes a couple of weeks to even see their counselors and they lack a curriculum to track outcomes of their patients. I spoke with at least 30 patients they had been treated in ALL of LAND,ARK’s OHIO FACILITIES!!
If Praxis by Landmark Recovery was really, working…. Why so may boomerang patients. I know everyone doesn’t recover and it’s difficult at times – but Praxis by Landmark Recovery doesn’t care,if,you relapse or die because they can bill for you while you’re in their facility or as long as,you’re alive while you’re there.

I brought my receipts which are attached as photos. THE ANNOUNCEMENTS OF THREE DEATHS IN THE NOW CLOSED INDIANA, PRAXIS BY LANDMARK RECOVERY FACILITIES.

JUST GOOGLE LANDMARK , from,Indiana to Las Vegas they leave a MARK across the LAND.
